Transport to the next nebula with EFFY’s ‘Fluffy Clouds’

Every Sunday night 00:30-01:00 I bring you BBC Introducing Dance on Radio 1, the new home for emerging electronic artists from the UK.

I like to spotlight an artist each week as my Dancefloor Moment, and on the second show London producer and E1 club resident, EFFY, was in the hot spot.

I love ‘Fluffy Clouds’ for its extraterrestrial feel, while it has a grooving bassline that is a pleasure to mix in to. EFFY told me that the track is inspired by the otherworldly concept of aliens communicating, hanging out on fluffy clouds, and she created this banger in a temporary studio which used an ironing board as a table. This is the kind of creativity we love to see!

She’s recently started a residency on Rinse FM where she shows off her sharp mixes of ethereal house and techno, plus the b-side, ‘Planet B’, has just dropped, which is worth checking out too.

Listen to ‘Fluffy Clouds’ below.
